Microsoft Office welcomes a new default font: Aptos

Updated: Aug 16

As confirmed by this Design Taxi article of July 2023, Microsoft Office has uploaded a new font, called Aptos, which will become its default typeface, replacing Calibri.

This follows on from Microsoft uploading five new fonts back in 2021 (see this article on Microsoft's web site) called Tenorite, Bierstadt, Skeena, Seaford, and Grandview.

Depending on your version of Office, you may or may not need to download the fonts, but this can be done within the software itself and doesn't involve installing files into a Fonts folder or library.
